No justice sabrina sabedra

the ending for me wasn't as good as I thought it was going to be. I thought that for sure Lola and Niño and Phyllis and Walter would end up in jail. I think Phyllis might end up  killing Walter since they were on the ship together although she wanted to be with him It crossed my mind that maybe she would eventually plot to kill him. I was convinced that Lola and Walter would end up together since it seemed as though he really wanted to be with her. I hope the end of the movie is better then the book I was disappointed and a little confused I was expecting a more powerful dominate ending and instead it left me kind of like that's it that's what it was. the part where he says "the moon" I was a bit confused and taken back not to sure what he meant. there was no proper justice for Mr. Nirdlinger or the first Mrs. Nirdlinger. the finger was being pointed at everyone but no one went down for the murders. Mr. Keyes seemed some what corrupt it seemed he just didn't want to deal with the case and the people he just let it go. the movie I hope will be much better and give me and ending I understand and not one that leaves me scratching my head.

  1. The Nirdlinger's and the small children didn't get any justice for the horrible crimes that happened to them. I had also thought that after Neff's confession he was going to go to jail and he would give up Phyllis and she too would be in jail. I think the author ended his novel this way to let the reader's imagination explore and let you wonder what will happen next with these two murderers. Neff feels no love what so ever towards Phyllis and she knows that, so they will probably try to kill each other again or they might just get caught before they even get off the ship.

  2. I was a bit confused as well, especially the ending "the moon" Im not sure what that meant maybe a part in the book I do not remember that was significant. I agree with Natalie that after Neff's confession that he would end up straight into jail and nobody even caring about his injury. I don't know how they would make the ending different in the movie but I am interested in comparing the movie from the novel. Oh and I know this was not mentioned in your post but I thought it was strange how Walter ended up really falling in love with Lola because she was not Phyllis and because she was young.
